Hap is the former ranger for Temagami. We will walk, swim and paddle the incredible wilds of Temagami for a week based from the Cabin Falls Ecolodge (located on the top of a 7 metre waterfall) accessing the wilderness in a Dehavilland Beaver Float plane. The lodge is equipped with a variety of dorm and roomed cabins which will be alocated on a first come first served basis. The trip also includes a 4 day canoe trip in Algonquin Park working with our friends at Algonquin Outfiters. Algonquin park is home to a huge collection of wildlife including plenty of moose, otters and beavers and of course bears. We will have the opportunity to explore some beautiful creeks within the park at a leisurely pace ensuring we get the chance to make camp, see wildlife and enjoy home cooked meals over the camp fire!

Algonquin Outfitters is a family run company and use Swift Canoes (made by the brother) which are lightweight and a paddling Ferrari! Our stay includes camping in historic Safari wall tents on arrival and departure.

It is said that whilst America was created by men and women on horseback that Canada was pioneered by Canoe. Settlers and pioneers would have travelled by canoe including large portages between the lake and river systems.
